These sleep routine movements are outstanding for any brain that has a hard time unwinding at night. The twisting pose feels like ringing out emotions and thoughts!!! For kiddos who are resistant to doing them, they can feel the benefits of an adult doing them in the room and perhaps join in overtime. Sometimes gentle swinging or doing some heavy work (joint compressions, wall pushes) helps prepare the body for something more sedentary. And if you can’t do legs up the wall, legs on a chair or bed works great too. .
