“Don’t allow anybody to pull you so low that you hate them.” - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Try this mindfulness practice (via audio link in bio or follow along here) to explore how to resist hate in the face of injustice: Find a comfortable position where you feel safe and supported. Stretch in any way
that feels good.

Take three deep breaths, relaxing a little more with each exhale.

Think of a situation that has tested your capacity for compassion—a conflict, a
betrayal, or an encounter with views that feel threatening.

Notice what happens in your body. Where do you feel tension or contraction?

Imagine Dr. King's words as an invitation to maintain your dignity and inner freedom by choosing a response that doesn't diminish you.

Remember, you are not excusing harmful behavior or bypassing justified anger or preventing others’ actions from determining the quality of your inner life.

Ask yourself: “What does it cost me energetically to carry hatred? What becomes possible when I refuse to be pulled down to that level?”

Open your hands in a gesture of release as you take in these words: “I choose my own response. I protect my inner peace. I remain true to my highest values regardless of how others behave.”

Notice the impact of this liberating practice on your body, heart, and mind.

Find a comfortable position where your body feels at ease. Take a deep breath in and exhale slowly.

Think of a time when you compared your progress to someone else’s. Maybe you felt behind. Maybe you wondered why things weren’t happening as quickly for you.

Imagine yourself as a tree. You have been growing, even when you couldn’t see it.

Your roots have been deepening. Your branches have been strengthening. And now, buds are beginning to form, preparing to bloom in their own time.

Trust that you are exactly where you need to be. Your timing is not wrong. Your path is not behind. You are unfolding in your own perfect way.

Breathe in self-trust.

Breathe out comparison.

Place a hand on your heart and remind yourself, “I bloom in my own time. I honor my own unfolding.”

Ready for Spring? Try this mindfulness practice (listen at link in bio or read here): Find a comfortable position and allow yourself to settle in and feel supported.

Imagine yourself carrying a bag. Inside this bag are thoughts, beliefs, and emotions that feel heavy. It might be self-doubt, an old story about who you are, or pressure to be someone you no longer need to be.

Notice what’s inside the bag. No judgment. Just awareness. What are you carrying that no longer serves you? (Pause).

Visualize yourself setting the bag down. You don’t have to carry it anymore. You don’t have to hold onto what weighs you down.

Breathe in lightness and breathe out heaviness as you imagine the bag emptying out.

Feel the space opening up within you. What could fill it? Peace? Possibility? A sense of ease? Imagine how you want to fill your empty bag.

Listen to the Pause in our bio or follow along here: Find a comfortable position where you feel safe and supported. Take a slow breath in through your nose and hold it. Exhale fully, letting go of any tension. Do this as many times as you would like as you take this break in your day.

Think about an area in your life where you are in transition or feeling unsettled. How do you experience this in your body? Is it restlessness? Tightness? Just notice.

Allow yourself to be in this moment, without needing to change anything. Breathe in patience and breathe out the need to rush as you embrace the magic of in-between.

Imagine how letting yourself rest in the uncertainty of in-between might shape new possibilities for how or what you think, believe, know, feel, or do. No need to come up with specifics right now, just be with the intention of future possibilities.

Take another moment to breathe in patience and breathe out the need to rush.

Place a hand over your heart and whisper: “I honor the space between what is and what will be. I trust that clarity will come in its own time.”

Notice how your body feels and stretch in any way that feels good. Remember that
movement is medicine.

Give your body a gentle shake, committing to your first act of protecting your
peace.

Notice your breath. When you breathe in, say to yourself, “I know I’m breathing in.”
And when you breathe out, say to yourself, “I know I’m breathing out.”

Allow yourself to go inside, trusting that peace exists in the present moment.

Reflect on a situation where you are feeling or have felt swept away in the
noise, the anger, or the overwhelm. As you think about this situation, notice how
your body responds. Is your body tightening or contracting?

Give yourself a break. What would it look like to protect your peace? What would
you have to say or do to protect your peace? Imagine doing that right now (pause).

Notice how your body and heart feel when you protect your peace. Use all your
senses to experience this fully.

Try this mindfulness practice to connect with your heart. Listen at link in bio or follow along here: Find a position where you feel safe and supported. Stretch your body in any way that feels good. Breathe slowly as you give yourself a break in your day.

Begin to watch your thoughts. What are you thinking about? Imagine your thoughts are on a screen and you can scroll through them, one after another. Go with the flow of your random thoughts. Notice how they come and go, one after another – appearing and disappearing naturally.

Now shift your attention to your heart and bring your thoughts here. Place one or both hands over your heart. Notice your thoughts entering your heart space.

How does your heart feel right now? Imagine breathing into your heart and out of your heart. Take five slow breaths.

Imagine your heart getting stronger and brighter with each breath. Imagine your heart getting brighter with each breath. Does bringing attention to your heart slow down your thoughts?

Lift your arms up overhead and stretch in your chair in any way that feels good. Let your heart shine. Now, place your hands back on your heart for a few slow breaths. Notice how your mind and body feel.
